Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem Busted on Drug Charges + NBA Rookie Throws Girlfriend Down the Steps!!

It was a bad weekend for some NBA ballers. One just jeopardized what may be the most exciting season of his career. The other one is simply jeopardizing his whole NBA career. Hit the links as we break it down…

By all accounts, Udonis Haslem is recognized as a solid NBA player, a good teammate and an unselfish man. After signing a new contract with the Miami Heat, Haslem was hoping to be a part of an historic season aside new teammates LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining forces with Dwayne Wade.

Now all of that may be in jeopardy.

Just last night, he was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in Miami-Dade County.

An FHP trooper pulled over Haslem, 30, who had been driving east in his 2008 Mercedes-Benz, after he was clocked going 78 mph in a 60 mph zone. The trooper smelled marijuana in the vehicle… After a search, Haslem and his passenger, Antwain Fleming, were arrested and charged with marijuana possession.

So how much was he holding?

20 grams.

According to Miami-Dade court records, Haslem was charged with possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana, a third-degree felony which could bring maximum punishments of a $5,000 fine and a five-year prison sentence.

Yeah… good luck with that.

And for those who follow basketball like me, I didn’t even BLINK when I read about this:

This is Lance Stephenson two years ago as a high school senior at NYC’s Lincoln HS. He recently was drafted by the Indiana Pacers, and just signed a deal which guaranteed him $1.5 million in the first two years of his contract, provided his behavior was okay.

Looks like that deal is in jeopardy too.

“The 6-foot, 6-inch Stephenson – whose website proclaims him the “pride of Coney Island,” and who led Lincoln HS to four city championships and one state title – was charged with assault after the 5:05 a.m. violence in front of the Avenue Z home.

Jasmine Williams, 21, with whom the 19-year-old Indiana Pacers draft pick has a child, told cops Stephenson pushed her down the stairs, and that she hit her head during the fall.”

Too much too soon? You be the judge… Speak on it…
